📖 How to Play & Game Overview
Left-click a cell to reveal it. Numbers indicate how many adjacent mines exist. Right-click or hold to place a Flag on suspected mine locations.
Core Game Rules:
- The minefield contains hidden explosive mines distributed across a grid.
- Clicking a safe cell reveals a number from 1 to 8 representing how many mines touch that cell (including diagonals).
- Clicking a cell with zero adjacent mines automatically reveals all connected blank cells in a chain reaction (opening).
- Detonating any mine results in an instant Game Over.
- Flagging all mines and uncovering all non-mine safe cells wins the game.
Winning Strategies & Tips:
- The 1-2-1 Pattern: Along a straight wall, a 1-2-1 number sequence means the mines are always located directly beneath the two 1s, and the cell beneath the 2 is 100% safe!
- The 1-2-2-1 Pattern: When encountering 1-2-2-1 along an edge, the mines are located directly under the two 2s.
- Use Double-Click / Chording: Once you place the correct number of flags around a number, click that number to reveal all remaining adjacent unflagged cells simultaneously for lightning-fast clearing.
- Work the Corners and Edges: Edges have fewer adjacent cells, making logical deductions much simpler than interior clusters.
