Enter a valid 5-letter word. Green tile = correct letter in correct spot. Yellow tile = correct letter in wrong spot. Gray = letter not in word.
Core Game Rules:
- You have 6 attempts to deduce a secret 5-letter English word.
- Every guess must be a valid 5-letter word found in the official English dictionary.
- Green Tile: The letter is in the secret word and in the exact correct position.
- Yellow Tile: The letter is in the secret word but in a different position.
- Gray / Dark Tile: The letter does not appear anywhere in the secret word.
- In Hard Mode, any revealed green or yellow hints must be used in all subsequent guesses.
Winning Strategies & Tips:
- Use High-Vowel Opening Words: Start with mathematically proven openers like "CRANE", "SLATE", "ROAST", "ADIEU", or "AUDIO" to eliminate 3-4 vowels on turn 1.
- Consonant Elimination on Turn 2: If your first word yields few hits, guess a second word containing common remaining consonants (e.g. "PILOT" or "CHUMP").
- Beware the _IGHT and _OUND Traps: If you have 4 green letters with multiple rhyming options (e.g. MIGHT, NIGHT, SIGHT, TIGHT), use an elimination word that tests M, N, S, and T all in one guess!
- Duplicate Letters: Remember that letters can appear more than once (e.g. "APPLE", "SWEET", "ROBOT").
